Collections

This collection documents the activities, milestones, and external engagements of President Armstrong's office and includes earlier and later presidential files that provide historical context for the presidency. Contents are a mix of resolutions, proclamations, Board of Trustees materials, college and international partnerships, awards and recognitions, photographs, event programs, speeches, press clippings, and special reports. Highlights include documentation on facility dedications, pivotal college initiatives (e.g., Pathways, international programs), major celebrations, and community relationships.

Record Group consists of documents, photographs, and ephemera regarding Advancement and Communications and Marketing, 1997 to 2020.  The record group consists of 3 series, Promotion and Event Materials, Departments, and Press. Each series is arranged alphabetically by subject and chronologically therein.  Large, oversized materials are at the end of each series.

This collection relates to ornithologist Oliver Luther Austin and includes 3 boxes of colored photographic slides most of which were taken in various locations around Japan. The majority of slides depict Japanese buildings, cultural events, and everyday life. In addition, there is a oral history from Anthony Austin, Oliver Luther Austin's son detailing his experiences living in Japan during the U.S. occupation.

This collection consists of published material, newspaper clippings, interviews, and published unit histories, collected by the Gordy brothers about their wartime experience. Both brothers served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and as POWs in German camps.

This collection contains annual membership and meeting records, photographs, newspapers, magazines, newspaper clippings, audio/visual materials, and photographs of PRVCGA members, events, businesses, and workshops. Any newspaper or magazine articles that mentioned PRVCGA or Barbara Carlton (formerly Barbara Oxford) are included in this collection as either loose clippings or part of the scrapbook. Most of the photographs are candids of events and meetings, however there are several official portraits as well.

Original audio and video files and collected research documenting the production of a documentary on the life and career of former Florida State University President Talbot 'Sandy' D'Alemberte.
