The Sam Lamar Collection consists mainly of correspondence, photographs, and other documents from 1946-1951 related to his time as a student at the Tallahassee Branch of the University of Florida (TBUF) and later Florida State University.
The Samuel F. Morrison Collection contains materials primarily dating from the 1970s to 2010s that document the professional and personal life of librarian Samuel F. Morrison, the creation of the Broward County Library's African American Research Library and Cultural Center, and the Chicago Public Library's Harold Washington Library Center.
