Series V contains magazine articles, newspaper clippings, books, pamphlets, photographs, web resources, plant samples, and other materials related to Michael Spencers' research concerning natural history. The topics covered within the series include specific plant species and genera, plant societies, writers and researchers in natural history, museums, art, parks, drugs, insects, animals, and diseases. Some topics contain only one item while others contain an entire folder of materials.
