This scrapbook is made of yellowed paper and is bound by a wooden spine, and it documents not only photographs of Blunk's family and friends but also his military career. They are ordered chronologically from the beginning of his service with pictures from Atlantic City in 1942 to the RAF Base at Little Staughton, England in 1943 to Huntingdon, England in 1945. Blunk documented many unique events while he was stationed in England. Events like D-Day, a Red Cross Christmas celebration, a chapel service from VE- Day, and a wedding that was mentioned in one of his letters to his wife. The only photographs that demonstrate anything specific to his job are pictures of him and his men dressed for battle with the caption "Ready to take off for France to build a new airfield, August 1944", and pictures of B-17 model G bomber planes in varying states of disrepair. Some of the planes pictured have minor damage to them, but others are completely wrecked in fields or among trees. There are also documents that have been saved between the pages that detail his career, including his diploma for completing Squadron Engineering and Operations Clerks at Fort Logan, Colorado on February 17, 1943. As well as his Honorable Discharge from the Air Force on October 13, 1950.
