Ben W. Thompson private account ledger (photocopy), 1866-1888, covering the Ben W. Thompson private account with Simpson and Company, Bagdad, Florida. Lists income such as salary, loans, interest, rent, and sale of personal stock. Gives expenses such as cash drawing, draws on stock and stores, payment of bills with identification of names of merchants, items purchased and amounts paid. Entries begin with January 1866 through January 27, 1876 with notes of purchase of burial casket; and from January 1876 forward as "Estate of B. W. Thompson" through January 21, 1881 with major settlement of the estate on April 10, 1880.

Consists of publications, advertisements, photographs, administration and research on the east coast railroads of the United States collected by history scholar Gregg M. Turner. Consists of four series, including but not limited to documents and photographs of railroad history (1830-1890), the Plant System Co. Inc.(1860-1902), the three primary railroads on the eastern seaboard of the United States (1830-present), and independent railroads.
