Abstract:
This collection consists of personal name files which document the activities of the university administration, faculty, staff, students, alumni, honorary degree recipients and other individuals who have been important to the history of the University. Files vary considerably in size, from one sheet to several folders, and may include articles, biographical sketches, correspondence, curriculum vitae / resumes, media clippings, obituaries and memorials, press releases, and miscellaneous publications. The presidents of the university are particularly well-represented, with extensive biographical files on Thomas G. Carpenter (1969-1980), Andrew A. Robinson, Jr. (Interim President, 1980-1982), Curtis L. McCray (1982-1988), Adam W. Herbert (1989-1998), Anne H. Hopkins (1999-2002), and John A. Delaney (2003-).

Files vary considerably in size, from one sheet to several folders, and may include articles, biographical sketches, correspondence, curriculum vitae / resumes, media clippings, obituaries and memorials, press releases, and miscellaneous publications. The presidents of the university are particularly well-represented, with extensive biographical files on Thomas G. Carpenter (1969-1980), Andrew A. Robinson, Jr. (Interim President, 1980-1982), Curtis L. McCray (1982-1988), Adam W. Herbert (1989-1998), Anne H. Hopkins (1999-2002), and John A. Delaney (2003-). This collection was established and kept current by the University Archives staff to provide readily accessible information for reference and research purposes. New materials are regularly received and added to the files. An alphabetical listing of the files is available in University Archives. Monographs by UNF faculty and staff authors are housed separately in Archives, with a bibliographic record in the Library's online catalog.
