This collection relates to Donald and Portia Ackerman. Donald Ackerman served as a pilot on B-24 bombers with the 44th Bomb Squadron, 506th Bombardment Group, in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. He continued to serve in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and served during the Korean War.This collection contains an oral history transcript, artifacts, audio tapes, documents, letters, maps, pamphlets, and photographs relating to Donald and Portia Ackerman.

The Cal and Mary Jane Koesy Collection consists of personal photographs related to the couple's student experiences at Florida State College for Women and Florida State University from 1944-1952.

First Sergeant Charles H. Martin Served with the 3848th Quartermaster Truck Company in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater for 16 months as a clerk. The collection includes Martin's three honorable discharge certificates, Enlisted Reserve Corps Qualification and Availability Questionnaire, and Separation Qualification Record. Also within this collection is Martin's personal copy of photograph album "A Yank's Memories of Calcutta" by Clyde Waddell.

The materials in this collection contain information about the following persons and subjects at the Florida State College for Women, between the years of 1918-1957: Bacteriology, biology, botany, zoology, Salem College, F. N. Caldwell, William Kenley Clark, Ezda M. Deviney, Elizabeth Griffing, Laura Marie Henry, John F. Hewetson, Mary Noka Hood, J. M. Odiorne, Betty Robuton, Alban Stewart, and Carolyn Trump.

Gladys Martin Black (formerly Gladys Martin) was a Florida State College for Women student, class of 1918 (BS, Home Economics).  The Items in the collection include scrapbook pages and other student ephemera and memorabilia, as well as items related to her 50 year reunion. (See box list.)

This collection contains personal papers pertaining to John F. Cawley and his experiences aboard the S.S. John W. Brown during World War II. The small box contains calendars, magazines, and photographs.
