The Southwest Florida Map Collection is a format-based collection that compiles maps and map-related ephemera from across our collections. The maps within the collection largely document the social, environmental, and ecological change of Southwest Florida from the early 20th century into the 21st. The collection contains topographic maps, hand-drawn maps, and aerial photography. Of particular note is the selection of material that depicts the Southwest Florida coast south of Tampa Bay.
The Historic Newspaper Collection is a varriety of newspapers from cities in Southwest Florida. The newspapers include Caloosahatchee Current, Hendry County News, The Fort Myers Press, The Florida Flambeau, The Caloosa Belle, The Community Press, and others. Their dates range from 1920-2018.
