Series I contains reports covering a wide variety of subject areas. The series is arranged by order of importance, beginning with commercial attractions, and ending with other study areas. The types of reports vary, depending on the stage of the project under analysis. A letter report is a short appraisal report which describes the property, valuation, and recommendations. A memorandum report provides results of study in a brief format for use by the client. A charrette is an interdiscplinary collaborative session in which designers share ideas about a project. Briefing materials are images and text which provide background information on the characteristics of a project. The majority of the reports were completed by Harrison Price Company. However, on some projects, Harrison Price Company worked with other economic analysis companies. In this instance, the names of the other companies are listed with the report in the container list. In addition, the reports of Harrison Price's former company, Economic Research Associates, are included in this series. The reports vary in length. Some of the reports consist of only a few pages, while others are hundreds of pages long and are in multiple folders. Also, multiple copies of the reports may be included in one folder. One copy is a professional presentation copy, while the other may be a draft which includes hand-written or typed notes. Both have been kept for research purposes. The reports may also include photographs, maps, architectural renderings, and pamphlets.
