This record group contains materials produced and used by the Florida Southern College Public Relations Department and its predecessors. Materials include photographs, many of which were also used to illustrate The Interlachen yearbook and other college publications. Photographs include buildings, students, faculty and staff, and dignitaries and visitors to the campus. In addition to photographs, the collection includes news releases produced by the college and news articles relevant to the college. Several large, bound albums are present, and these contain news articles dating back to 1922 and the college's arrival in Lakeland.

This collection contains agreements and contracts pertaining to public employees such as the Police Benevolent Association. Included in these agreements are settlements concerning contracts, grievance law handbooks, and motivational doctrines. It relates to the necessity of labor unions in receiving fair compensation and allowing individuals the right to state any concerns on how they are being managed both in the public and private sector. Additional documents include manuals on how to bargain and what collective bargaining is, and why individuals have the right to bargain.
