Scope and content:

Photographs document the career and personal activities of Esther Rolle. The series is divided into two subseries: professional and personal photographs. Professional photographs include materials that highlight Rolle's contributions in film and television productions such as Good Times (1974-1979), P.K. and the Kid (1987), and Driving Miss Daisy (1989). Photographs of Esther Rolle in theatrical productions, publicity, as well as signed photographs are also included. Personal photographs of Esther Rolle highlight Rolle's activities outside her acting career and include images of family and friends.

Materials are organized alphabetically within the subseries.
