The Disney Ephemera Collection is a collection of reports, brochures, memorabilia, articles and news clippings about Disney Enterprises and the Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida. The collection contains materials related to the different locations within the resort complex, including information about the Disney parks, resorts and other attractions. Publications in the collection were produced by both the Disney Corporation and outside sources.
The fourth series contains various memorabilia gathered from Walt Disney World Resorts such as plates, cups, napkins, bags, stickers, buttons, stationaries, and a Mouseketeer hat.
This series consists of publications created by Disney Enterprises including quarterly reports from 1978-1981. There are folders devoted to the publications Walt Disney World News and The Disneyana Collector, of which there are many issues but not a complete run of either publication. The series also contains bags printed by Disney from around the resort and miscellaneous publications such as The Disney Look, which details costume and grooming guidelines for castmembers. These publications include periodicals such as Disney Magazine, Disney Channel Magazine and Mickey Mouse Magazine, as well as Disney's Guide to Florida produced with Fodor's.
Compiled by attorney Robert P. Foster, the collection consists of a variety of documents, clippings, maps, and photographs, all of which pertain to the process of purchasing and developing land in Central Florida for the purpose of creating the Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID), where Walt Disney World would be constructed.
