Background
- Scope and content:
The materials in this record group contain correspondence, photos, documents, and ephemera related to distinguished guests of the college who do not fall into the categories of Founders Day speaker or Honorary Chancellor, or who were not here as part of a larger program, such as the Festival of Fine Arts.
- Biographical / historical:
Some of the most rewarding education happens outside of the classroom. Students and other members of the college community gain a better understanding of the world around them by meeting or listening to folks from a wide range of backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences. Over the years, Florida Southern College has welcomed distinguished guests who, either through a talk or lecture, performance, or interaction with students and faculty, have contributed to the enhancement of the cultural and intellectual life of the college.
