In the late 1950s, neurosurgeon Dr. Mason Trupp collaborated with Edward L. Flynn, an oral surgeon, and Reginald G. Standerwick, a developmental engineer, to design a skeletal head frame for the treatment of maxillo-facial fractures. Their design was viewed by representatives of Surgeon General in 1958 and touted as a major achievement by the Journal of American Medicine that same year. This collection consists of technical drawings of the design for a skeletal head frame, photographs of the completed work in various manners of display, correspondence, articles, and a manual of neuro-anatomy.
