Zine is a shortened version of magazine or fanzine, with a focus on self-publishing and Do It Youself (D.I.Y.) aesthetics. Zines are anti-copyright and are not for profit. Special Collections at the University of South Florida is now functioning as a repository for the Tampa Zine Library, which was established in conjunction with the Tampa Zine Fest in 2012. This particular collection reflects a mixture of donations, personal acquisitions, and zines that were featured at Tampa Zine Fest.
Collection consists of underground publications and political ephemera that address the American involvement in the Vietnamese conflict and world affaris in the 1960s through 1970s.
