Records of the Small Craft Advisory Press include books published by the press, materials used in creating books, proposals from artists, and promotional materials of the press.
- Biographical / historical:
Small Craft Advisory Press (SCAP) is an artists' book press at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. The Press began circa 2009 as a collaborative research project by faculty from the Art Department (Denise Bookwalter, Holly Hanessian, Anne Stagg and Joe Sanders) and English Department (Elaine Treharne) to allow faculty, visiting artists, and visiting writers to publish small press and artists' books. The initial project was funded in part by an Equipment and Infrastructure Enhancement (EIEG) Grant from the FSU Research Foundation. The mission of the press is to enable artists and scholars to create artists' book editions that push the boundaries and traditions of the book arts.
