Background

Scope and content:

This collection contains photocopied, bound newsletters of "FLAK" from the 6th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, from 3 September 1943 to 22 June 1945. The newsletters cover their missions in England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Volume 1, #1 to #90. At end of the volume, the collection includes photocopies of photos of KIA, and other photos, and lists of unit members. The newsletters printed while in England discuss entertainment, soccer matches, and parties. They include news of world events and the war. One issue, "The Americans in England--Canada's Problem," suggests that the Canadian troops act as a go-between with the English troops.
