See Related Materials Note below.

Biographical / historical:

Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac (1902-1984) was a theoretical physicist, and a leading authority on quantum mechanics. His 1926 Ph.D. thesis "Quantum Mechanics" and 1930 monograph "The Principles of Quantum Mechanics" are some of his field related works. Dirac retired from the Lucasian Chair of Mathematics at Cambridge University in 1969. He was teaching faculty at Florida State University from 1972 until his death in 1984.
