- Scope and content:
Two scrapbooks created by Broward County Commissioner John McGinn concerning the creation of the Broward County Charter in 1974 and his campaigns. It contains certificates, newspaper clippings, and original letters. Included in the scrapbooks are packages of campaign promotional materials from the 1964 election and the 1986 election.
- Biographical / historical:
On November 5, 1974, the voters of Broward County approved the Broward County Charter. Charter Government went into effect in Broward County on January 1, 1975.
