Scope and content:

Kenneth H. Larson served as a colonel in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He attended technical school at the Ford Airplane School and the Army Air Force Technical School in Amarillo, Texas. Exercises, study guides, and manuals from his time in technical training are included in this collection, showing the work that students had to complete during this training.

Biographical / historical:

Kenneth H. Larson was born on October 29, 1922, in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Larson joined the Army Air Forces and served in World War II, as a pilot and a flight instructor. After leaving the service, he continued to fly for several decades. After the war, he lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and then Vero Beach, Florida where he passed away on August 4, 2010.

This collection was purchased at a flea market in Dothon, Alabama by Steven Jennison, who then donated it to the Institute.

Custodial history:

Transferred from the Institute on World War II and the Human Experience to FSU Libraries Special Collections & Archives in July 2022.
