bound issue from May 2, 1888; Vol XXIII, no. 582. Lithographs include "The Collapse of King Boycott" (title page; shows a vignette of Justice/Order popping a large, oversized balloon-like man labeled "Boycott" and wearing a hat labeled "Violence." The main image shows Puck standing with a oversized pen above the deflated Boycott's body); "The Tariff Cow--the Farmer Feeds Her--the Monopolist Gets the Milk" (shows a well dressed man labeled "Monopolist" milking a large cow labeled "Protection;" the milk buckets below him are labeled "Profits." In front, a farmer feeds the cow hay labeled "War Taxes"); "Not Wanted" (shows a poorly dressed, tired old woman labeled "Republican Party" standing with a troop of [presumably] orphaned children in front of the White House. The children, who are depicted as members of the GOP Senate, are fighting each other, playing instruments, and being generally chaotic.
