- Scope and content:
The photograph is of Mr. Rooney and his wife outside. Mr. Rooney was a Civil War Veteran the first bridgetender of the Davie Bridge built in 1918. Before the bridge was built, he operated the Davie barge by cable. There are multiple copies and negatives of the photograph.
