Background
- Scope and content:
Frank K. Coffee served in the Army with the 14th Armored Division in the European Theater (ETO). He served as a reconnaissance soldier in a tank. The collection includes a manuscript of Coffee's account. The manuscript describes the advancement through Germany and Poland. There are photocopied photos of George S. Patton up close. The edited letters are in diary form and are addressed to his mother back home. Though not many photos are included, the manuscript makes mention of the collection of cameras and firearms in small villages.
