Scope and content:

This collection relates to Sheldon F. Berlow who served with the 352nd Fighter Group, 8th Air Force, as the chief public information officer. This collection contains letters, photographs, newspapers, and official documents from Sheldon F. Berlow's time in England and Belgium. Numerous photographs document the activities of the 352nd Fighter Group. Letters discuss the progress of the war in Europe and life on the homefront.

Biographical / historical:

Sheldon F. Berlow was born on May 17, 1917 in Newark, New Jersey. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force on December 9, 1942. He became a Public Relations Officer for the 352nd Fighter Group stationed in England. After the war he worked in an advertising in New York before moving to Florida where he entered realty. Sheldon F. Berlow was buried in Broward Country, Florida on January 6, 1991.
