Background

Scope and content:

The collection includes documents pertaining to supercomputer research and use created by the Florida State University (FSU) Supercomputer Computations Research Institute (SCRI), divided into six series: Dr. Lannutti's Files, Subject Files, Administrative, Proposals & Funding, and Publications. Dr. Lannutti's Files are divided into four subseries including Set 1, Set 2, Susan Fell, and Correspondence.  Set 1 and Set 2 were created separately, are arranged chronologically, and consist of memos, correspondence, and other materials pertaining to SCRI operations. The original purpose for the separation of Set 1 and 2 is unknown, as their material overlaps chronologically. The Susan Fell subseries consist of budgeting and usage tracking records maintained by Dr. Lannutti's assistant Susan Fell. Subject Files consist of memos, correspondence, and other materials related to the day to day operation of SCRI. Administrative Files are divided into two subseries: Pat Meredith's Files and Clark Moore's Files. Pat Meredith's Files consist of materials pertaining to user training, user numbers and conference talks. Clark Moore's Files consist primarily of records regarding financial purchases and personnel expenses. The Proposals & Funding consist of proposals, conference papers, transparencies, photo slides, and other materials related to funding proposals for SCRI. Publications consist of published articles based on researched conducted using SCRI resources.
