Background

Scope and content:

An ethnographical sketch of the Creek Native Americans in West Florida. There are historical reports that General McGillivray, the famous chief of the Creeks, attended a Native American congress at Pensacola where a treaty was signed with the Creeks, and it could be that this document was written at that or some other Native American congress held at Pensacola between 1789-1793.
