Abstract Or Scope: The Rogers Family Papers contain correspondence, speeches, ephemera, photographs, newspaper clippings and publications from 1930 to 1992 documenting Dwight L. Rogers, his family, and his career in the Florida House of Representatives as well as the United States Congress. Ephemera include political promotional flyers for the election of Paul Grant Rogers, son of Dwight L. Rogers, to the United States Congress. Correspondence includes a letter to Florence Roberts Rogers, wife of Dwight L. Rogers, from the Fort Lauderdale Park Methodist church. Publications include pamphlets from Broward County social clubs.

Abstract Or Scope: This collection consists primarily of photocopies of revised versions of Ms. Demarest's play The Empty House, with manuscript annotations/revisions. Accompanying the play revisions is a letter from Ms. Demarest to Nancy Cole dated March 27, 1981 and a letter from Nancy Cole to "Donna" relative to the disposition of the Demarest items, and a memo from "Charlyne" in the USF Theatre Department transmitting the Demarest materials to USF Special Collections. Also present in the collection are an illustrated brochure about a performance by Ms. Demarest of The Empty House, issued by the Department of Sacred Arts, Chicago, ca. 1934; a printed copy of Ms. Demarest's play My Son Jesus (St. Petersburg, Florida, 1979), and a brochure advertising dramatic readings of the play by Ms. Demarest (ca. 1980).

Abstract Or Scope: Florida Southern College hosted the Cockcroft Forum from 1985-2002. The Foundation encountered financial difficulties after 2002 and the forums were discontinued. Guest speakers included A. Thomas Young, president of Martin Marietta Aerospace, Dr. Joseph Boyd, chairman of Harris Corporation, and Dr. Alan Keyes, former ambassador, presidential candidate, and radio host. In most years, the Cockroft Forum was hosted twice, during the fall and spring semesters, respectively.
