The Map Collection contains over 1200 maps, atlases, aerial survey photographs, and cadastral maps (such as plat books and property maps) of Broward County, Palm Beach County, Miami-Dade County, and Florida from the holdings of the Broward County Historical Archvies at the Broward County Library. The maps date from the 1600s to the present, with a majority of the maps dating between 1920 and 1980.

The collection contains materials about the history of the Palmer family in Halifax County, Virginia, poetry of Mary Bebecca Gassaway Palmer, and an issue of the Florida Medical Association's journal, with an article by Theresa Yaeger Palmer and Hugh Archer Palmer about physicians as a family tradition. There is a Civil War history by Mrs. Clarence W. Maxwell that mentions Dr. T. M. Palmer. There are newspaper clippings about Mary Martha Reid, a friend of Dr. Thomas Palmer, dated September 29, 1968. There are also letters from John C. Hill to Dr. Palmer at the Florida State Hospital, from Richmond, Virginia. Some of these materials are photocopies of a typescript or manuscript.

Records, 1928- ,including minutes, correspondence, membership records, and related materials about the club's history and activities in Pensacola, Florida. Includes publication files of the weekly Bulletin and the Florida Lion. Subjects include services for the blind, the Naval Air Training Bases (1945-1946), and the Salvation Army of Pensacola.

Financial and statistical records for Escambia County schools, 1877-1967, including attendance registers (1947-1951), bond and check registers ledger books (1877-1952), payroll registers, and warrant registers. Includes teacher lists for schools, furniture distributions, early development of Pensacola Junior College, and other information.

This program contains documents, such as inspection division statistics, personal contracts, conflict resolutions, and Attorney General reports regarding the general rights of fire fighters in Tampa. While fire fighters are paid by the state, they have a right to be part of a union and agree upon their own contracts to bargain for health benefits, salary, pension, and the constitutional right to strike if the need arises. Additionally, this collection contains manuals on how collective bargaining works and the manuals that were used by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) for collective bargaining.
