The Vertical Files Collection, 1872-2016, is an artificial collection, contains a wide variety of collected materials documenting or relevant to Central Florida's local history. Collection also includes subject materials such as book arts, typography, travel, tourism, and the West Indies. Included are newsletters, magazines, news clippings, reports, pamphlets, documents, photographs, and handbooks.

Noel Wisdom Collection of Chromolithographic Prints, 1860-1910

Abstract Or Scope

This collection is comprised of chromolithographic prints collected by Noel Wisdom, a silhouette artist. This collection consists of a variety of 19th and early 20th century chromolithographic prints, lithographic prints, etchings, and engravings. Collection areas include: occasion cards, advertisements, rewards of merit, calling cards, decorative prints, booklets, and oversized materials.

Harry K. Hudson, the Boys' Book collector who was one the sources for many of USF's resources in its Children's and Young Adult Literature Collections, was an avid collector of adventure novels, particularly serialized boys' books.

Metro Wellness collection of photographs, 1983-2001, Date acquired: 00/00/2015

Abstract Or Scope

This collection consists of photographs donated by Metro Wellness Health, a Tampa Bay area nonprofit health care provider specializing in care for LGBTQ+ and/or HIV/AIDS patients. Photographs in the collection showcase LGBTQ+ cultural life, businesses, sports teams, activism, entertainment, social events, organizations, bars and clubs, religious organizations, and HIV/AIDS care and memorial services in the greater Tampa Bay area. Some photographs in the collection are national and international events, such as Pride celebrations and the Gay Games.

Cantor William Hauben collection, 1930-2015

Abstract Or Scope

This collection consists of materials donated by Cantor William Hauben, relating to the Holocaust, Jewish religion, and the Jewish music tradition. The collection includes biographical materials and personal memorabilia tracing Hauben's legacy of service to local Jewish communities. An extensive collection of sheet music accompanies teaching and service materials from synagogues in which Hauben served as a cantor. Additionally, the collection contains research materials relating to the Holocaust, Jewish religious celebrations and traditions, Israel, and synagogue music. Additional monographs were gifted by Cantor Hauben and can be found in the USF Special Collections Holocaust and Genocide Studies Collection.
