Abstract Or Scope

The Arnold L. Schuster collection mainly compromise official orders and documents given to 2nd Lieutenant Arnold L. Schuster during his training and into his eventual deployment overseas during 1943 to 1946. Included in the collection are personal photography as well as various orders that document his deployment overseas to the Pacific theater during World War II. Within the collection there are also certificates, lists, receipts, and other official documents that show Lieutenant Arnold L. Schuster's career in the Army Air Force.

Art History Club at UCF, 2011-2015

Abstract Or Scope

The Art History Club at UCF collection documents the history of the club from 2011 to 2015. Materials in this collection include officer files of the club's president, such as meeting agendas, event fliers, and memorabilia. The Art History Club at the University of Central Florida became a registered student organization in 2011. As stated in the constitution, the purpose of the club is to pursue the scholastic appeals of art and what art can tell society about the cultures of the past. The goal of the organization is to foster a greater involvement of UCF art and art history students and promote the intellectual discussion of art history. In addition, the club aims to donate time at local museums in order to give back to the art community.

Arthur and Mayce Seymour Collection, 1899-1965

Abstract Or Scope

The Arthur and Mayce Seymour Collection, in addition to containing correspondence between them, other family members, and friends, has articles written by the Seymours and many poems by Mayce. A major portion of the collection consists of photographs taken by the Seymours during their trips to India and China in the 1920s. Numerous paintings and sketches made by Mayce during these travels are also included.

Arthur B. Benson and Claude B. Shook Family papers, 1942-1948, Date acquired: 11/28/2017, bulk 1944

Abstract Or Scope

This family collection relates to Technician 4th Grade Sergeants Claude B. Shook, 207th Field Artillery Battalion, and Arthur B. Benson, 705th Tank Destroyer Battalion,  who were brother in laws and both served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. Arthur B. Benson was killed in action on August 14, 1944. The collection contains letters, photograph negatives, a unit newsletter, ephemera, and diary.

The Arthur B. Steinman Collection contains twentieth century African sculptures and masks from the central and western regions of Africa. It also contains one lithograph print of "Planting" signed by Thomas Hart Benton.
