The Apopka and Atlantic Railroad collection, circa 1885-1887 contains a matted photograph of the Apopka and Atlantic Railroad line in the old town of Mayo (current Maitland), and a letter and copies of the "Florida Official Path Finder" explaining the history and location of the photo. The photograph shows a train outside of an engine house with two white engineers on the train and three Black workers posed at the end of the train. This collection is a rare look into the short-lived Apopka and Atlantic Railroad Line. It also provides insight into segregation in the 1880s. This photograph was taken in the old town of Mayo, also known as Woodbridge. Mayo was a white settlement and Woodbridge was settled by Black laborers, the railroad separating the two. The Apopka and Atlantic Railroad was active from 1885-1887 and closed in 1888 due to lack of business. This line connected Mayo (South Florida Railroad) and Forest City (Orange Belt Railroad).

Ben White Raceway located on a 120- acre tract in Fairview Park, near downtown Orlando, Florida, was the largest training facility and winter home for champion racehorses. The track was named in honor of one of the nation's most famous trainers, Ben White, who won numerous titles and chose Orlando as a training site in 1920. The track lost popularity as the expense to ship horses to Orlando became too great. In July 2001, the name was changed to Trotters Park. In January 10, 2002, the City of Orlando decided to close the struggling facility to convert the property into a city park.

Christian Bauer is a University of Central Florida Professor who was on the Task Force that wrote numerous ordinances to regulate Big Box Stores. He collected meeting minutes and newspaper clippings that documented the work of the Task Force.

Compiled by attorney Robert P. Foster, the collection consists of a variety of documents, clippings, maps, and photographs, all of which pertain to the process of purchasing and developing land in Central Florida for the purpose of creating the Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID), where Walt Disney World would be constructed.

The collection consists of photocopies and printouts of government documents from FBI files, state and county court records, and electronic databases dating from approximately 1930 to 1990. The materials deal mainly with racism in Central Florida, the activities of the Ku Klux Klan in Orange Country, the death of Harry T. Moore, and the political career of Claude Denson Pepper. The files were collected by Dr. James C. Clark, who wrote a series of articles for the Orlando Sentinel based on the collected documents.

The collection is comprised of 43 photographs taken of Winter Park in the late 19th century. The collection features a variety of images taken of the town and the surrounding area. The focus of the photographs varies and includes subjects such as agriculture, nature, people, and buildings and other structures, both public and private.
