The Vivian D. and John H. Hewitt Collection contains Haitian art and materials focusing on Black art, particulaly those representing the history and culture of Haiti.
The materials show the Donnellys' diverse and far-reaching interests, primarily in the humanities. A majority of the materials are about typography and typophiles, including monographs and chap books.
