Included is an unpublished genealogical volume that details the various branches of the family, which originated in Spain and settled in Mexico in the 18th century. Additionally, the story of the English side of the family is told through a history of the Lancastrian schools in Mexico.

This extensive collection consists of 1 box of personal papers and 4 boxes of personal artifacts. Included in the papers are miscellaneous photographs of Borders, several official military documents (primarily unit commendations and discharge papers), several military publications (pilots handbook, ship/aircraft identification booklet, hymnal, and the bible), and a personal notebook.

The materials in this collection primarily consist of playbills, showbills, and programs that range from the mid-to-late 20th century and are primarily from the personal collection of Louis Miano. However, the contents are compiled from multiple collections of the same scope. There is a large collection of playbills, showbills, and programs from theater and opera in Miami and South Florida, as well as from across the United States and Europe. The collection also contains magazines, ephemera, and other materials related to musical theater in the United States and Europe.
