This collection is home to a selection of documents from the Southeastern Fisheries Association (SFA), the oldest affiliation representing the commercial seafood and fishing industries throughout the southeastern United States. This collection provides insight into various plights and activities within the fishing and seafood industry. Most importantly, the collection details the 1995 Net Ban, it's effects on the industry, as well as SFA.

This collection contains notes, newspaper clippings, articles, photographs, pictures, and resolutions filed for and against the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) during labor negotiations. Additionally, notebooks and certificates are used here to help individuals comprehend the process that goes through contract negotiations, as well as the consequences for those who can be affected by change (directly or indirectly), not affected at all, or affected in a positive rather than negative manner.
