The Ramiro Casanas Collection provides a look into the Casanas Family's longtime passion for collecting. The collection's primary focus is on pieces that document Cuban history during the nineteenth and twentieth century. It features Cuban artwork, handwritten poetry, cigar boxes, periodicals, and sports paraphernalia. Also included are artifacts from around the world, such as international banknotes, political ephemera, maps, and photographs.

This collection consists of correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, membership rosters, speeches, and press releases related to the Tampa Chapter of the National Aeronautic Association and the Tampa Aero Club.  Also includes newspaper clippings concerning the growth of aviation in Florida (1930s), photos of the Burritt family and various participants in air shows, aerial photos of Florida airports, flight magazines, booklets, and newsletters, flight maps, air show entry applications, and materials concerning Tony Jannus and the first scheduled commercial flight.
