Series II holds letters, photographs, writings and memorabilia that provide insight into Julian and Margaret Nally's families and interests. Correspondence with Julian Nally's parents contains incoming and outgoing letters. Curios and artifacts holds information about items that belonged to the Nally family. Julian's diary is typewritten and is in good order for the first four years before becoming disorganized. Incoming letters contain both personal letters and those from philatelists selling stamps. Nally lectured on books especially in a series at Rollins College. The Library folder contains information about his book purchases. A subseries is devoted entirely to Margaret Nally including photographs of her with her first husband, Ray Scudder. The file designated as Scudder family photographs may in fact be Austin family. News Clippings document Julian Nally's community activities. Photographs show family and friends, such as, his sister Mary Lee with her husband. Several images show the interior of Nally home in New York. Onie Monroe, a household employee is shown with his family, and several photographs show Edward Nally including a small framed image. Photographs of Julian Nally show him at various ages and those with Margaret often show them with other individuals. Postcards were clearly kept for their images and show a variety of places presumably visited by Nally. He wrote not only on botanical matters but also poetry and short stories, and examples of his work may be found in this series.
