In 2007, Sybil Weiner donated her collection of over 500 pieces of American popular print music to Florida Atlantic University. The collection dates from 1895 to 1966 and includes: patriotic songs, Negro spirituals, music from American musicals and motion pictures, as well as many popular standards.
The collection contains correspondence, financial records, and legal papers related to the seed, agricultural produce, and livestock businesses of Sydney V. Coxetter, and legal papers pertaining to the real estate holdings of Coxetter and his wife Winnifred (Dennis) Coxetter, and those of George Elliot Dennis and his wife Ida H. Dennis in Lloyd and Tallahassee, Florida.
Records of the Tallahassee Pecan Company, including documents of incorporation, by-laws, minutes of the meetings of the stockholders and directors, lists and description of lands owned by the company, profit and loss statements, and other materials.
This collection consists of slide presentations, photographs, video tapes, bird reports, and promotional and educational materials from the Florida Audubon Society. The materials in this collection document local bird life, conservation projects, and infrastructure issues, as well as environmental initiatives specific to the Florida Audubon Society branch. Most of all, the slides document the educational efforts of the Audubon Society in Florida, specifically in the Tampa Bay region.
