Collections

The Florida State University Alumni Association Collection consists of materials created or collected by the FSU Alumni Association from 1906 to 2011. Its contents are divided into six series.

FSU Chief Full-a-Bull costume, circa 1969 (of questionable validity).  While it has some native American features, it does not resemble the costume in the 1969 Tally Ho yearbook.

Bound Florida Flambeau, September 1960-May 1961.

Florida State University Building Appraisals as of April 1955. A few have material from 1956.

Folders hold press releases from the FSU News Bureau from the departments and schools at Florida State University (FSU) in 1964.

General files including press releases, correspondence and photographs of the Florida State University Graduations from 1952 to 1964.

The Florida State University Historical Photograph Collection is a large and diverse array of visual materials ranging from the late-19th to the 21st century. Formats represented include black and white and color photographic prints; 35mm, 120mm, and 4x5 acetate negatives; and other various kinds of small photographic ephemera including postcards, leaflets, and promotional materials. The bulk of this collection was produced by an official Florida State University entity or department with the express purpose of publication, dissemination, or otherwise public-facing service for the University.

Metal (bronze?) sign with the inscription "F.S.C.W. Building No. 6" mounted on a wooden plaque with the inscription, "Once Stood Near This Spot," beneath it.  A note that accompanied the plaque stated that the "new psychology building was built on the site of the old FSCW Building No. 6, where Park Avenue runs into the campus." The sign may have been for the old gymnasium which, after it was moved to the campus side at corner of Copeland Street and Park Avenue, served for a time as the location of the Social Welfare Department.

The FSU Union '66 Team Champs Bowling Trophy is a trophy awarded during campus bowling competitions.
