This artifical collection includes memoirs from two World War II veterans, Raymond J. Lorenz and Jim McGee. Lorenz served in the Army Air Corps and donated his collection of aerial photographs taken during his bombing runs over Europe, with Lorenz's personal memories providing the commentary and context on those photos. Jim McGee's honest and personal memoir, written at the behest of his family, begins with his early attempt to enlist, his drafting into the Army, and his personal experiences ranging from training to his time at the front, which covered the Allied forces movements from the south of Italy all the way into Germany. The collection also includes miltary records. correspondance, and ephemera from Roy G. Francis, a retired USF Faculty.
