Collections

This collection is a visual history of the the Library that shows its many physical changes including the 1984-1986 expansion of the west wing. The Library has always been used by students for resarch and studying but in addition to that it is also a social area were students mingle and talk. These photographs also show the changes in the ways the library is used by students while maintaining the same goal of studying and research. There are 242 items in this collection consisting photographs, transparencies, contact sheets, and negatives.

This collection contains photographs of the FAU Men's Basball Team

This collection contains photographs of FAU Men's Football Team players, team members, athletics staff, and athletics complexes. Boxes 4 and 5 contain CDs. There are 741 4x6 photographs, 9 8x10 contact sheets, and 78 35mm negatives. Some materials from boxes 1 through 3 were described to provide a sample of the collection. This collection contains photographs of the FAU Men's Soccer team. There are over 200 4x5 black and white portraits, over 214 4x6 color photos, and multiple 35mm negatives and 8x10 contact sheets. This collection contains photographs of the FAU Men's Tennis team.

This collection contains a wide variety of miscellaneous FAU photographs. Photographs include interior and exterior building photographs, some staff photographs, student photographs, largely around campus buildings and facilities. This collection contains photographs of FAU employees and unidenfied FAU people. There are over 500 4x6 photographs, over 1000 contact sheets, over 13,000 35mm negatives, and a wide variety of other photographs and negatives. The photographs in this collection document the planning of Florida Atlantic University. The collection includes photographs of the ground breaking by state and local dignitaries, architectural drawings depicting the early concept of campus buildings, and group portraits of the early administrators in planning meetings. The university opened in August 1964.

Photographs of FAU's Polo team
