This collection is a visual history of the the Library that shows its many physical changes including the 1984-1986 expansion of the west wing. The Library has always been used by students for resarch and studying but in addition to that it is also a social area were students mingle and talk. These photographs also show the changes in the ways the library is used by students while maintaining the same goal of studying and research. There are 242 items in this collection consisting photographs, transparencies, contact sheets, and negatives.

This collection contains a wide variety of miscellaneous FAU photographs. Photographs include interior and exterior building photographs, some staff photographs, student photographs, largely around campus buildings and facilities. The photographs in this collection document the planning of Florida Atlantic University. The collection includes photographs of the ground breaking by state and local dignitaries, architectural drawings depicting the early concept of campus buildings, and group portraits of the early administrators in planning meetings. The university opened in August 1964.

The student newspapers at Florida Atlantic University document various events, politics, and opinions at FAU.  Overall there are seven different publishing histories: The Atlantic Sun (1964 - 1989),  Student Newspapers - Self Published (1969 - 1973), The Independent Atlantic Sun (1989 - 1991), "All New" Atlantic Sun (1991 - 1992), Free Press at Florida Atlantic University (1994 - 1995), The University Press at Florida Atlantic University (1996 - 1999), and The University Press (1999 - Active).

This collection consists of just over 1,200 titles that include a variety of publications such as brochures, booklets, leaflets, reports, and newsletters. The publication years are from approximately 1962 to the mid-1990s. The majority of these publications are directed to students enrolled in degree seeking programs at Florida Atlantic University but it also includes material directed at the non-traditional student such as the older non-degree seeking student, and those taking professional seminars or workshops.

This collection documents student life at Florida Atlantic University from the 1960s to the early 2000s. The bulk of the collection is predominately from the 1980s, with other boxes of photographs of FAU staff, alumni, and other FAU people ranging from the 1960s to 2000s. Many photographs show students in class, on the many patios and gardens of the campus, in the cafeteria, in their dorms, and in many other college life activities. Most of the photographs are staged and taken by FAU photographers for creative marketing purposes. In 2018, the Students 1960s Photograph Collection was consolidated into this collection. Those boxes were added into the current collection and updated. As of 2018, boxes 1 through 3 in this collection contain materials from the Students 1960s Photograph Collection. The Update newsletters was originally published by the Public Relations Office and later by Communications and Marketing. Update highlights campus events and news.
