This collection consists mostly of pre-television radio scripts. The war programs are particularly significant in any study of propaganda and give an aspect in the study of broadcasting of this period. The majority of the scripts are from the Writer's War Board, but there are also others by Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York, Broadcast Music Inc., R C A Victor Records, Thesarus Program Continuity Service, and an episode of Mr. Sycamore, a 30 minute radio comedy-drama produced during the 1940s. There are also program brochures prepared by the Educational Department of the Mutual Broadcasting System about programs for young people and public interest programs. Also included in the collection is a pageant script by Roger M. Busfield entitled, Land of plenty, regarding a program at Michigan State University.
