Abstract Or Scope: The Sistema Santa scrapbook, 1932 is an illustrated guide to the Santa System of machine embroidery (bordados a maquina) from Havana, Cuba. It teaches the theoretical and practical method of the Santa System for the art of cutting, making, and decorating clothing. The scrapbook contains scraps of fabric with stitching patterns and appliques. Santa Sánchez de Corao created this scrapbook in 1932. In 1950, a work with a similar title under the name Santa Sánchez Alles was entered into the Intellectual Property Registry in Cuba and in 1947, Sánchez co-led an exhibit in the Marianao municipality of Havana, Cuba showcasing dressmaking and sewing.
