Scope and content:

Personal papers include documents from Easter Lily Gates and family members. General papers contain tax and deed forms belonging to Easter and George Gates, stock certificates, church bulletins, church programs, Easter Lily Gates' obituary, East Side School Parent Teachers Association documents, and financial documents belonging to George Gates. Prayer books collected by Easter Lily Gates include bible verses, pocket prayer books, and gospel hymns. Photographs include personal and professional pictures of Easter Lily Gates. Images of her hat collection are also included.

The series is organized into three sub-series: general, prayer books, and photographs. Each sub-series is arranged alphabetically within folders.
