This series contains manuscript materials for Patti's published and unpublished works. The majority of these materials are typewritten with handwritten notes in the page margins. Patti's only published book, Why Viet Nam? Prelude to America's Albatross can be found here in its early and final draft forms as well as reviews of the book by The Washington Post, the Washington Star, the New York Times, CBS and Columbia University. This series also contains two unpublished books on the life of Ho Chi Minh as well as a variety of unpublished articles by Patti. Conference and symposium speeches are included in the unpublished materials as they were given by Patti but never published.
