Scope and content:

Series I includes both incoming and outgoing original correspondence between Henry Nehrling and his second wife Betty Pooler Mitchell Nehrling. The series also includes letters between individuals other than Nehrling, which were collected by Nehrling family. Letters are arranged chronologically and kept in the original order as they were received. Most of the letters are written in English but some are in German; documents either handwritten or typescript papers.
