Scope and content:

The Collected Materials series consists of materials collected by Duerr, mostly in the area of horror and fantasy literature. Duerr collected numerous horror and fantasy journals, or fanzines, which are arranged alphabetically by title, as are his collected limited editions and monographs. Some of these literary works are by the horror masters H.P. Lovecraft, August Derleth and Clark Asthton Smith, while others are by amateur science fiction writers. The series also includes works illustrated by the well-known science fiction illustrators Virgil Finlay and Edgar Rice Burroughs. In addition to the literary works, this series contains information and materials on Lovecraft, Derleth and Smith, as well as publication notices for forthcoming horror fantasy books, musical scores and newspaper clippings on a variety of different subjects.
