Personal Files., 1920-1978.
- Scope and content:
The Personal Files series contains the personal papers of Howard Duerr. Items in this series include Duerr's academic and employment records, as well as information on conferences he attended and a folder of photographs. However, the bulk of the series is dedicated to his personal correspondence and writings. Correspondence files are foldered by correspondent alphabetically, and include Duerr's correspondence with authors such as August Derleth, as well as his personal correspondence with his wife and professional correspondence with colleagues. The Writings subseries includes Duerr's writings from his youth until his death, and are often bound into volumes. Of interest in this subseries are copies of his thesis and dissertation and the notes for his planned autobiography.
