Publications and Advertising, 1970-2009

Scope and content:

The largest of the collection, this series is made up of publications and papers that were produced by and for the FTU/ UCF athletics department. Materials include media guides, programs, prospectus reports, handbooks, and advertising. Other materials of interest include various tournament and championship game booklets created for coaching staffs, pamphlets on various athletics clinics offered to the general public, and campus oriented event programs such as the 1996 memorial for women's basketball coach Jerry Richardson. The media guides are of greatest use to the researcher for they not only give that year's team roster and statistics but in most cases, a history with teams and scores of years past are provided. Correspondence in this series shows letters from team coaches and athletic administrators to the general public.
