Biographical / historical:

Our goal is to create an evening to recognize the accomplishments of our community and the people behind all those successes and to: Unite Bay area organizations in for a formal celebration of our the gay and lesbian community; create awareness within our community of the organizations available; create awareness within the 'mainstream' community of how diverse and strong the gay/lesbian community really is; strengthen networking between community organizations; forge a more cohesive community by encouraging organizations to share ideas an pool resources on common ideals; encourage volunteerism; create pride within our own community; challenge organizations and individuals to strive for excellence in every project; lay the foundation for an annual event.
